Does Rick Beltram actually believe the crap he spits out. I mean, it is flowing...
"Jim Rex claims to be an educator"
Are you freaking kidding me???
You attack the candidate who actually has taught in a classroom. On top of it, they try to say Karen's strengths are in administration. Well let's look at that for a second. Who has more administration background? Jim Rex was Dean of College Education departments, and a college president. I'm sorry but an any idiot can see who the best candidate is in this race. I've been voting for more republican candidates in every election since 2000. Voting for Karen Floyd would have to be one of the dumbest things I could possibly do. Rick Beltram is a snake in the grass and Karen Floyd doesn't deserve to be on this ballot. Just wait until 2010 and run for governor. Our education system shouldn’t be your next stepping stone!

I can’t believe the crap that I just read!! Who on God's green earth would take that article as anything but slanted liberal propaganda. No scrutiny at all was thrown Jim Rex's way. No wonder "the Beat" is such a looser news source for the upstate. Karen is a very respectable woman and deserves to be elected to a failing system so that the reforms opposed by the other party (who by the way proudly lead our kids into this mess) can be put into place.

jcallaway,
And what is wrong with a woman who has ambition. I see no problem with a Floyd run for governor in 2010. I think that the only way she could run is if the steps she puts into place as Sup. Ed. cause the school system to prosper. So..... Why all the worry. If you really don't believe that school choice, proven leadership, and real solutions to real problems will be the answer for SC(and if you really believe that Jim Rex will win) then why even write anything about 2010 (Gov.)! Obviously Karen could not run for governor if she looses this race or if she wins and is a poor leader in the reform of public education.

I guess I failed to see the respectable part. 3 different husbands in less than 10 years. Not following through with almost all of her appointed positions. It's obvious that you know nothing about education, or you would understand that school choice and vouchers are failing public schools EVERYWHERE they are put in place. Do you think this is a new idea thought up by the Sanford group??
So no, proven leadership at Denny's isn't enough qualifications for me. Honestly it would be hard to write an article not slanted against Floyd, unless you're Rick Beltram. I don't know if Jim Rex will win right now in our state without the R beside his name, but he obviously the better candidate.

You know, Mike...if "the Beat" is such a "LOOSER" news source...why in the hell would SCHotline be so scared to simply link it on their website?

You'd think they'd trust their readership was smart enough to tell the difference between "fair and balanced" and "looser" news sources.
